Here is a video of the valvular conduit. I need to make a new one that shows the priciple better.
...Also please excuse the miss spelling of Nikola (Nicolas) on the second slide, this was an aouto correct error that I didnt spot until the video was posted for some time!
The video shows the flow of fluid through the valve. you will notice that when it flows from left to right the flow is smooth and even. however, when flowing from right to left you will notice from the motion of the bubbles that the flow is much more turbulant. this helps to visualise why the flow in one direction is easier than the flow in another.
